Her mouth had gone totally dry. The point of focus she’d picked at the corner of the door had gone FUZZY, Betty’s eyes watering as she struggled not to meet Ginny’s. Her flustered thoughts went a little something like this: Band-aid, just yank it off like a band-aid! Never mind the fact that you’ve never really talked to her out of class, but whatever.
“ Um, I just wanted to just you know, let you know. I just feel like I need you to know I wasn’t looking… ON PURPOSE. So please don’t think that; I definitely wasn’t trying to make you uncomfortable… ”
