        ❝ no, they don’t. they won’t get the gross comments that they think are COMPLIMENTS, or even the sexist remarks, but… ❞ the timbre of her voice trails off. betty & veronica had done this because no one else was going to step up to the plate, SNATCHING their own means of glory. their paved path has been rocky, but there’s an importance of SISTERHOOD. an escape from every posh, luxury aspect of her life that has been carved out for her.  ❝ i love turning down reggie, it’s a PASTIME. it’s just different because he’s my boyfriend.  ❞ a single varnished nail takes the moment to twirl a STRAND of wavy dark locks.  ❝ he’s been supportive and we usually BOX together.❞ veronica doesn’t plan on stopping her plan of raining hail with the vixens because of boyfriend troubles.  ❝ why don’t we show them our own support ? i love what we’re doing, betts. i just don’t want to forget about the people who have been on our side since the beginning.❞

                Her nose crinkles as she forms deep thought, blonde locks belying the extent of her ever-CLEVER mind. The two of them combined are more than what they seem, with interiors that sprawl like one of the Lodge’s many lavish mansions. But then, if there’s anything Betty’s learned in the past few weeks it’s that all girls are more than they seem. Take Cheryl, for example, whose ferocity should NEVER have been doubted. Or Midge, who was so much more than somebody’s girlfriend. In this world, Betty was finding it was hard to toe that line. 

She was more than somebody’s girlfriend. She should never forget it. If she did, others would too. “ Yeah, Arch has been wanting to ride together more and more lately. I feel bad blowing him off. ” It’s like invisible fingers pinch her brows together. “ You don’t mean TELL THEM, do you? DO YOU mean tell them? ” She wonders if that’s a good idea. They’re better off in the dark. Right? Or isn’t the dark always the most DANGEROUS place to be?
