Comfort foods!!!
Mac and cheese, tomato soup, beef stew, anything that’s homey and hearty you know? She loves a good burger too, and is always the first ( following Jug ) to say they should hop on over to the diner. She believes in home cooking, and anything that’s done by hand and with love is something she can’t resist. That’s why she’s not much of a restaurant or fast food gal. She likes seeing the food being cooked, and knowing there’s actually love and care going into it. Really anything her mom makes too. The Coopers express a lot of their love through food, and it’s something that brings a lot of good memories.
For example, Turkey reminds Betty of the Thanksgivings they’d spend together, arguing and laughing and debating everything under the sun. Chocolate cake is Polly’s favorite, so it reminds her of those birthdays growing up. Apple Pie and turnovers scream Fourth of July, and brownies for every bake sale her mom contributed in, eventually leading to Betty learning the recipe. Then there’s Christmas cookies and eggnog for Christmas, and the egg salad they’d make on Easter. Valentine’s Day is red velvet cupcakes, and Betty’s birthday is Birthday Cake, complete with buttercream frosting. There’s a food for every memory, usually a dessert, and because of that there’s rarely something Betty can’t resist.
The girl just loves food.
