“ I’ll keep an eye on Spencer, Veronica, don’t worry. ” Betty smiled softly, doing her best to appear supportive. These parent teacher conferences were one of her favorite parts of the job, but everything that had been going on with those four girls was so HORRIBLE she could hardly enjoy it. “ I’ll let you know if I see or hear anything suspicious. I completely believe they’re not at fault here, it’s just… I think it’s just hard for people to wrap their heads around. Which isn’t the girls’ fault but… ” She sighed; there was no right ending to that sentence.
