He was such a liar. She told him as much, slinging a hand over her face and muffling the world’s most EPIC yawn. “ You’re full of lies and deceit. I look like ––– ” another yawn, even more jaw-cracking. God, he’d made her so lazy in the few weeks they’d been together. Sleeping in, taking time for herself, learning to wake up beyond the crack of dawn, for once. “ –– a quote un-quote, a swamp monster. ”
Though, he had said she was the cutest one he’d ever seen, so that was something.
Really, Betty had to attempt to brush these sort ofheartbeat-skippingly-soft compliments away for later, or else she’d probably COMBUST. It was hard; all she wanted to do as Reggie had said that was squirrel under the incredibly silky comforter and hide. Possibly giggle a bit.
She rolled over, onto her back and stretched her whole body taut. Sometimes it amazed her that Reggie actually liked her back. Betty was so… not his type. Sometimes, she wondered if she should try harder to be. But then, that had never worked out well for her. She was better off just being herself. “ WOW, I haven’t had such a good sleep in so long? I think I even DROOLED a little from how good it was. ” Oh yeah; mad beautiful. “ Never done that before. ”
