THERE IS A MOMENT WHERE HE HALTS , eyes wide and mouth agape , wondering if this is a serious accusation or if he’s right on time. but then that sugary sweet sound of giddy laughter meets his ears , and he breaks into a bright grin. his wife. he’ll never get used to saying that , hearing it , seeing the placque on her desk. imagine falling in love with the same woman every single day for the rest of your life. he has that , and he cherishes every moment. “ sorry , mrs. diggory , i didn’t know what else to do with myself. i needed to — ” he’s closed the distance in a few quick strides , sweeping her up and into his arms. “ pick you up immediately. i’ve missed you. “ 

there is a subtle glint in his eye just before he peppers her face with kisses.

                 OH, MY! He never failed to get her heart beating straight out of her chest, electric as the vibrato of the lunch-bell. “ You’re so LUCKY there aren’t any kids here, ” she murmurs, laughter slipping out between the attack of kisses he lays on her. “ Their parents would NOT be happy if this turned into the set of a soft-core porn. ” Somehow, she didn’t think that would make a difference to Cedric, and to be honest, when she was around him, it didn’t make much of one to Betty, either. 

“ Alright now, Casanova, feel free to put me down any day now. ” When he does, she brushes her fingers up through his hair and kisses him tenderly. It’s short, but that makes it all the more charged, all the more breath-taking. “ I missed you too. ”
