“ got yourself a deal, cooper. what class are we cramming for? ”  reggie’s grin is irrepressible, and he’s all-too-happy to hand over his ill-gotten gains now that he’s secured himself a season pass to alice’s cooper’s kitchen. he’s also trying… very hard not to think about betty’s thighs now that she’s mentioned them, but he’s only human, and it’s impossible to stop his eyes from dropping for a fraction of a second. it wasn’t that betty had been beneath his notice in high school – despite her goodie-goodie crusade, he hadn’t been blind, obviously he’d been aware that betty was pretty smoking – but she’d always been… unattainable. too busy chasing after raggedy andy to give the rest of them the time of day. “ and don’t think for a second that I’ve forgotten your curveball — seriously, how could anyone? ever? you coulda killed a man. ”

          “ Biology 111. ” Her face was clue enough as to how exciting that’d be. But studying was always better with a friend -–– and by better, she meant more of a distraction and less of a PUNISHMENT. “ Well, good thing I didn’t. Sometimes Mr. Andrews still asks me why I couldn’t have been the Mia Hamm of the softball world. ” Betty snorted, like the idea is entirely too unbelievable, like haha isn’t that so silly? “ But anyway- ” she grabbed two forks for them and made for a table by a snowed-in window, “ -how are your classes going? What are you even taking this semester? Kind of a BUMMER we don’t have anything together? ” What’s stranger yet, is that she meant it. Sure, they weren’t the closest in high-school –– understatement, much? –– but seeing Reggie around every now and then had kept her rooted in Riverdale, kept her feeling at home. “ I feel so bad, I don’t even know what your major is. ”
