       “okay,” ned replies softly with a nod, not wanting to push her. “i mean, fair enough. i know how busy you get, so don’t worry about it — sleepless in seattle can wait until some other night.” he throws her a soft smile, hoping she knows that it really wasn’t a big deal. “i do, however, make a MEAN cup of tea, and i have feeling you need one right now. so, chamomile, mint, or raspberry?”

           Her lips parted, ready to INSIST she was fine, though, really, put on the movie! but something about Ned’s SOFT UNDERSTANDING settled her back into his couch, resting her cheek against the back of the sofa as she watched him bustling around the kitchen. “ You’re the best, Ned. Chamomile sounds amazing right now. ” And then, because this was Betty, and good manners were ingrained as deeply as DNA into her, she offered to help, “ Are you sure I can’t do anything? I feel BAD letting you do all the work. ”
